FRANCE > Interministerial Committee. The framework of the information society is set. Gerard Thery is asked to submit a report to detail the issues, and propose measures with methods and dates.

EUROPEAN UNION > The report written by a group of experts lead by the European Commissioner, Martin Bangemann, is presented to the European Council at the Corfu Summit.
