General directorate of industrial strategy (DGSI)/ department for communication and service industries (SERICS)

The DGSI is responsible for the definition and application of State strategy to encourage the development of industry in France and to follow the long term evolution of industrial groups and sectors in France and abroad. It establishes policy on public industries and co-ordinates the exercise of ministerial authority over them. The SERICS is one of the seven departments of the DGSI. It directs DGSI projects in the following areas : electronic components, professional electronics and industrial information technology, audiovisual communication and electronics for non-professional use, Space, information technology and telecommunications.
