PRESS STATEMENT

François Fillon, Minister for Postal Services, Telecommunications and Space, and Philippe Douste-Blazy, Minister for Culture, requested Madame Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin to chair an interministerial commission on the development of the Internet.
This commission was asked to review the legal problems raised by the network, the responses currently in use at national and international level, and necessary and desirable adaptations.
The report has just been submitted to ministers and is currently available from the Ministry for Postal Services, Telecommunications as well as on the Ministry Web site (www.telecom.gouv.fr).
In the autumn, François Fillon will make his decision known as to what response he intends to give to these propositions.
