Subject: 85 R9/Alliance, 254,000km now having trouble

I'm now having trouble with the light switch(on the left hand side of 
the steering wheel, that controls the turn indicators, the brights, 
running lights and horn) in the last two months I have replaced it three 
times. Is this a common problem? I drive about 1,400km a week at night, 
my question is this, is the switch not made for such heavy use, or am I 
overlooking a more serious electrical problem?
